The Church in India is not only a missionary Church but a Church which carries the message of mercy and compassion, who practices her faith amidst poverty and misery. Communio” aims to make the Church in India “holy and missionary community.
Encouraging the faithful to pray and support missions, missionaries and to promote missionary vocations are one of the key objectives of Communio.
Communio helps to build a culture of sharing among the Catholic Faithful as an expression of solidarity with the lesser privileged Catholics in the country.
Communio - A beacon of light illuminating Christ's love, striving to be a Missionary Community by advancing in it's walk of turning hearts towards Christ and His Church & being agents of compassion by extending helping hands to man.
Go into all the world and proclaim the Gospel to the whole creation. Following this mandate of Jesus, his disciples – priests, religious and laity – are involved all over, in sharing the good news that Jesus brought. The CCBI has launched a new initiative, Communio, to promote the culture of sharing and solidarity.
In the early Church , the Church has supported one another, In India too all the Churches should support one another, and therefore we have this initiative Communio, where everybody, big and small, rich and poor we put in our might to be able to help the Church in India to carry on its mission.
