Communio Volunteers Embark on Their Missionary Journey

New Delhi, March 21, 2025: The Communio Volunteers Training Programme concluded on a high note, marking the end of a transformative five-day journey for 50 young volunteers from across India on 21 March 2025. The event, held in New Delhi, was a culmination of learning, fellowship, and spiritual renewal, fostering lasting bonds and a strong sense of mission and purpose among the participants.

The final day began with a Holy Mass, where volunteers offered prayers of thanksgiving for the experiences and blessings received during the program. The Mass served as a moment of grace, uniting the volunteers as they sought strength and guidance for their upcoming mission.

Fr. Dominic Pinto, Associate Executive Secretary of the CCBI Youth Commission, led the day’s session. He emphasized the importance of applying the training in their mission work, reminding the volunteers that their journey is ongoing and continues with every step taken in faith and love.

One of the most poignant moments came when volunteers from the 1st and 2nd batches shared their mission experiences. They spoke about how their faith had been strengthened, how they had been pushed beyond their comfort zones, and how they had connected deeply with the communities they served. Their stories were filled with hope, courage, and the joy of living out the Gospel message.

As the training programme came to a close, the atmosphere was filled with gratitude and anticipation. The volunteers departed with hearts ready to serve, motivated by the Communio spirit of unity and mission. The bonds of fellowship and friendship formed during the training will accompany them as they return to their homes and communities, driven by a mission-driven purpose.

The mission ahead is clear: “Heart for God, Hands for People.” While the training may have ended, the mission has only just begun for these dedicated volunteers.
