Bengaluru, CCBI Secretariat ,22 August 2025:Sr. Margarita Dias SCB, representing Communio, paid a cordial visit to His Grace Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Kalathiparambil, Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Verapoly. The meeting was a moment of blessing and encouragement, as Sr. Margarita presented the vision and mission of Communio and explained its upcoming projects for youth and missionary animation across India. His Grace warmly welcomed the initiative, imparted his blessings upon Sr. Margarita, and expressed his joy and gratitude for the continued missionary efforts of Communio in strengthening the evangelizing mission of the Church in India.
The Archbishop highlighted the importance of empowering the youth in today’s world, especially amidst challenges of secularism, consumerism, and changing cultural realities. He assured his prayers and support for the mission of Communio, affirming that such initiatives truly contribute to building up the Church and society with renewed zeal.
During her visit, Sr. Margarita also had the privilege of meeting Rev. Fr. Ebijin, Chancellor and Communio Director of the Archdiocese of Verapoly. Their conversation reflected on the richness of missionary sharing, the pastoral needs of the diocese, and the ways in which Communio can continue to collaborate with diocesan leadership to strengthen faith formation and missionary outreach. The meeting emphasized that Communio is not just a project but a movement of the Spirit, calling every baptized person to be a missionary disciple.
The visit to the Archdiocese of Verapoly thus became a joyful occasion of mutual encouragement, spiritual sharing, and renewed commitment to the missionary mandate of the Church in India.
