          • By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another (Jn 13:35). The identity of Christian discipleship unfolds in love.

          • How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news?” (Rm 10:15). We, who are called in baptism, are constantly sent forth in mission, that we may reach out to everyone in need.

Communio’s Vision Resonates with Youth Chaplains and Animators in Bangalore

A vibrant awareness session on Communio was presented by Fr Vignan Das and Sr Margarita Dias SCB during the 8th Animators and Chaplains Training Programme. The session was part of the national training led by Fr Chetan Machado, National Youth Director of ICYM and Executive Secretary of CCBI Commission for Youth.

Fr Vignan and Sr Margarita Dias SCB introduced Communio, the mission initiative of the Conference of Catholic Bishops of India (CCBI), highlighting its vision of assisting rural areas through missionary collaboration. They shared updates on various projects and programs and invited youth animators to take an active role in promoting Communio Volunteers—serving as catalysts for mission, service, and leadership in their dioceses.

Both the speakers, who serve as Associate Directors of Communio, encouraged collaboration to conduct regional Communio programs, especially those focused on youth formation and outreach. Sr Margarita Dias SCB shared the inspiring example of a youth convention held in the Diocese of Daltonganj, motivating participants to initiate similar efforts in their own regions.

Participants were encouraged to organize youth training programs supported by Communio, and to make use of available opportunities to build up young leaders rooted in faith and mission.

The session concluded with a powerful call:

Be missionaries of communion in today’s Church.
