Bangalore, August 17, 2024: NBCLC in Bangalore witnessed an event on August 16 and 17, where 55 diocesan contact persons from across India gathered for a Training of Trainers (ToT) session in preparation for the Jubilee 2025 celebrations. Addressing the participants Mr. Infant Anthony, Project Officer of Communio stated that “Communio is an expression of the Synodal Church envisaged by the Vatican II.”
Mr. Infant also explained the mission of Communio and urged participants to promote its awareness. As Communio Sunday will be celebrated on the first Sunday of Advent on December 1 across all dioceses in India. He also provided an overview of Communio’s ongoing and completed projects, distributing copies of the Communio Report Book to each participant.
Communio in partnership with the Pontifical Mission Organisation India, is supporting activities for the Jubilee 2025. Rev. Dr. Yesu Karunanidhi, National Coordinator for Jubilee 2025 is coordinating three national-level programs as part of the Jubilee preparations. These include sessions in the South Zone (Bangalore, Karnataka), Western and North Zones (Jalandhar, Punjab), and Eastern and North East Zones (Kolkata, West Bengal), scheduled between August 16 and 23, 2024.
