Bangalore, July 31, 2024: An interactive session was held for 15 novices from three provinces of the Sisters of St. Ann Luzern congregation on July 29, 2024, in Bangalore. The session was led by Fr. Gangula Vignan Das, the Associate Director of Communio, a department of the Conference of Catholic Bishops of India (CCBI) dedicated to assisting, supporting, and sustaining dioceses and religious congregations working in rural parts of India.
The session provided a platform for novices to actively engage with one another, emphasizing the importance of stepping out of comfort zones to face the challenges of mission work. It invited volunteers to collaborate in supporting the Church’s efforts in rural India. The novices participated enthusiastically in discussions focused on fostering a culture of sharing and solidarity within the Catholic community in India.
Fr. Vignan Das explained how Communio inspires the faithful to engage in building Catholic communities and supports the formation of missionary disciples across India. He also distributed the Communio Report book to the participants, encouraging them to explore its contents and understand Communio’s various initiatives.
